Farscythe’s post reminded me of an old joke I saw ‘round here once. It was the guy from Indiana Jones
Except instead of the medallion, it was a manual transmission shifter pattern.
Someone hook me up?

Sorry - I can’t help with the photoshop work. But I almost became a model for your image last week , with the heat of the metal on the top of the RX8 shift knob installed in my Mazda5 nearly singeing my hand. At least I could reach down to the leather portion to shift, unlike on the all- metal shift knob I once installed in a VW Rabbit I used to drive.

Sorry no photoshop skills, but I’d think with a car with a metal shift knob and some time in the sun, you could recreate it pretty well without any CG.

It almost happened to me this Saturday. my Miata has an all metal, black shifter. Molten lava hot.
I felt like the face melting scene just getting in the car

Man, I'm already there in this heat. The heat index last night didn't drop below 90. In the dark

Probably. But someone looking through all of his Photoshops is the work of a lifetime. Two lifetimes, counting all the times you'll be Rick rolled

If you were the originator, know that I always got a chuckle out of it, and think of it once or twice a summer when my hand gets seared by my gearshift

Well, that is a sobering reminder of how long I've wandered around this neck of the internet
